Perhentian Kecil

Many have raved about the island... I had to see it for myself. Sometimes we fail to see the beauty at our doorstep…

Without doubt it is a beautiful place for Malaysia to be proud of. To top that, the ISLAND people were very hospitable. I definitely didn’t want to leave…

The view from our room
The beautiful sunset at the other side of the island

The waters where we chase the turtles and baby sharks

The LAND OF NO ENGLISH

Who would have thought that language will be a problem in a neighbouring country... despite all that; the place rocks for shopping, food & massages =)

The Hotel wasn't bad-- service was excellent if only they knew the difference between half boiled egg and omelette.

The transportation there is by open mini lorries where you kinda stop by the main road and only assume its going where you think its going-- the drivers speak and read no english ...*weird* for a tourist area.

The town was filled with Kwailos with Thai girlfriends or gay partners... and of course they thought i was the Thai call girl and Jojo was the Arab/Indian "MAN" .. and of course; feeling a lil defensive i insist i order in ENGLISH and pretend to pay for meals..

More updates soon.. heading to Bangkok now for some civilisation.

What a YEAR it was

2006...

What a year it was..
A métier I never thought I'd take on
Though highly neglected
Twas a blessing in disguise

What a year it was...
A nest finally attained
Though delayed execution
Twas a blessing in disguise

What a year it..
A loss one could never imagine
Though it's the most impossible to accept
Twas a blessing in disguise

What a year it was..
A reunion of a precious bond
Though almost lost by deceit
Twas a blessing in disguise

What a year it was..
A lineage bond that accentuated
Though a big sacrifice
Twas a blessing in disguise

To my late mum- who means the world to me..
My ONLY comfort is that you are at a FAR-BETTER place..
Only Al-Mighty will protect and bless you with all the wonderful things
As how you have loved, protected and provided us
AlFatihah.. You are loved and terribly MISSED

To my family & friends- who's been there through thick and thin...
I appreciate and only can pray you'll be blessed for your kindness and sacrifices

God is great and has his ways to show us he loves us...

WHAT A YEAR IT WAS...

Inner Growth: The road to happiness

Found this article in the NST recently...

Just the topic that a few of us-friends were talking about; SUPERFICIALITY...

How it has already became a "natural" thing to some .
It's amazing how people can become so superficial at outings with their closest fo friends, only the ha ha and huhas at the get-together , very frivolous phone conversation or messages , etc, etc... nothing is real and from within anymore....
where has all the inner strength and happiness gone???

Enjoy the article!!

IN today’s complex society, a human being becomes trapped and develops only a very limited number of aspects of his vast, inherent, creative potential.

Life is lived in the fast lane and full development of creative potential is hardly possible.

All creative efforts are geared towards earning money and only a few are able to comprehend that money does not beget peace and happiness.

Men and women alike are caught up with buying bigger houses, having many credit cards and showing off to their friends and neighbours. All these do not bring happiness in the long term.

Money and possessions offer only temporary security. By living a life of values like truth, honesty and integrity, we may not be materialistically wealthy, but a contented life is assured.

The consequence of failing to understand these basic facts of life is that only a few are able to achieve lasting and total well-being in the long run.

The things we are proud of today — a beautiful body, wealth, noble profession and talents — may not be around tomorrow.

So what do we really have to be proud of? There are two main things that will remain with us: our thoughts and our character.

Thought for reflection:

To remain content in the face of criticism and rejection is the mark of real spiritual strength.

Abode Update

Our initial plans of moving in after Eid had to be scrapped due to some unforeseen circumstances.. but mainly because our moolahs were invested in other places hoping for short-term-happy returns..

Even though plans to move were made more than 6 months ago, only in the last couple of weeks did we actually focused on furnishing the house ( only the common area though =& )

First twas the sofa and the carpets...
Then the dining and some generic fittings...
Then the fridge and the kitchen stuff..
So we're good to have a full course at home

Overall,we're basically 50% done....

None of the rooms (there's only 2) are done...

Next action item... the plumber & a gigantic wardrobe to fit our mess =) wonder when that'll be ??!!!!
